August 20, 2008 I like this sweet. They roll it from HUGE chunks and layers into small size and cut them! YUMMY!
This is the sweet shop that makes the cute cute sweets. Customisation available (but at a costly price and minimum order of 30kg I think?) Other kinda sweets they sell. Sweet! Meat at Victoria Market, super cheap especially on Sundays! My first meal in Melbourne (lamb wrap. A$2.80) Seafood, cooked prawns anyone? Muscles going at A$9 for 2kg! (But I don't eat them anyway) Fresh seafood! Yum.
I wonder whether they're for eating or farming. -.- But I know they stink pretty much. RMIT starting it's stuff there. I like this building. Cute and artsy! Hungry Jack's aka Burger King! Pink tram promoting the film festival being held there Yes, it's almost S$6 per HALF hour of parking Yummy beef dumpling. My late lunch/early dinner on the first day.. ALONE. The shop opposite the Shanghai dumpling shop. Indian food. Interesting name! My hotel room, with a toilet cubicle of less than 1mx1m and shower area of about 1.5mx1m. My shopping for the first day (and I went back for more!) The self check out kiosk, which sucked. Because you have to put stuff in the plastic bag even if you don't want the bag. Besides, my item was so small it didn't recognise that I put it in the bag and kept saying "please place item in bag". Fed up. My dinner, I bought all the discounted items because everything was so expensive! And I thought my family could share them too.. we ended up eating out and throwing away most of them. Bah!
Dinner at Crown. The food here is cheaper than outside (considering that it's in a casino!). Seafood pasta (sucked pretty badly) Yummy i-forgot-the-name-thingy @ Crown. Pizza @ Crown. Not bad but I hate olives. Public water dispensers? I saw ppl drinking from it but look at the cigarette butt! Disgusting. I like this juice. Bought it thinking it was mango. Was surprised it was sour... because it has a hint of lemon mythe! Ended up liking it. Dad with the graffitti wall. Cool eh (the wall I mean =x)? Some cafe along the way. Mum at me at the line of cafes Me in the middle of the road. =D Yummy but expensive place we had our breakfast at. Westernised food in a crepe! Chai latte(left) and tea in teapot. Smoked salmon (mine) but I prefer the western one. Escargot crepe. :s
Look at the escargot (yucky tasting IMO) but the cream sauce is nice! Sis with the nut (I forgot the name lol) Dad and me at the cafe. Sis and mum at the cafe. The staff at the cafe (manned by 2 ppl, with a lot of crowd!) History of Swanston Street. Melbourne Uni premises Me in the Melbourne U. Dad and his BALLS. =p In Melbourne U. Victoria Market on Sunday Some fruit juice store with real oranges hanging outside. Dancing with the burger. (actually I wasn't I just felt the burger danced too far away for a picture so I tiled nearer for the pic. Lol.) Wonder whether it's branded there. Wouldn't pay the kinda pricing. Hotel Formule 1, where I stayed. In the lift, bored. Their ticket machine in the tram. Hey, wish we had this here. So damn cute. The skirt with flower petals inside! My fav fav fav churroz(spelling?) with stuff oozing out from the centre! And the store I bought it from And more pictures of the stuff they sell.
And here it is again! =x This thing is damn cute, it beeps and vibrates, telling you to go to the counter and collect your food! Innovative! Burger, beef steak and I forgot what at a pub. Hey this reminds me of the snake top I wanted badly. And this is what I'd like to tear from the wall and give a kid to colour. LOL. Cute. They have these in toilets, scary. :s Toilet entertainment (while waiting for mum) Kangaroo meat anyone? Suggestive bananas? =x An event held every month where people of all religions are invited to attend. Somewhere -.- Vietnamese food (yum, big serving too) Statues outside the library. In the library. I LOVE THIS DOG. Buy one for me please. Compare it's size with me. Heh. It's damn cute and you can pet it! Art market.
Outside Luna Park (theme park) By the beach sitting down and resting because I was damn tired (sick) You pay any amount you like (their breakeven is said to be A$7.) I was damn upset at their service because I ordered mango lassi and it didn't even come. The lady said 5min... 5min later nothing happens. 10minutes later you ask for it again and she says it's coming.. coming.... coming... and it never came because, 1. she's either too busy serving others or 2. she doesn't know how to make it. Either way I don't care because a promise is a promise. 5minutes. Yeah right. MY ADORABLE COUSIN!!!!!! You have to go to a really dark room and carry her (or she'll cry if she knows its not her mum carrying her) Heh. =x Train station I think this is cute! Movies, 2 for S$26? Expensive! Another cute fare evader sign. Our 4kgs of nougat and a box of energy bars given by our relatives. Thai food, pretty good. Vitamin abundance!
The below are pictures of FIFTEEN. Jamie Oliver ( a famous cook you can catch often on TV) selected people and trained them up to run this. Read more here. And this is their very interesting toilet taps. Walking in the park.
You have to pay to enter Cook's cottage (the oldest cottage or something along that line =x). See below for more pictures of the inside of the cottage. Cook, my best friend! HAHA. Their entrance is sooooo high. -.- Little figure houses of a town. The fairies tree (kids love it, I don't. Cuz I expected something nicer -.-) Dolphin fountain which apparently isn't working because of water restrictions (I think) PUFFING BILLY. KAWAII! Beef brisket noodles back at the Shanghai dumpling store. Too salty though. Dinner at Sophia(spelling?). Seafood platter (big serving.) This is a serving said to be for 2, but I can assure you it's for 5! Pizza (huge serving again) Mussel soup (enough to let 5ppl have a decent amount to sample)
Sister's graduation day! (I don't have much proper pictures here as most of them are in her camera. The best part is, I was in charge of taking photos of her taking her cert... They all came out blur. Way to go nix!
My sis went to send her boyfriend to the airport and hang out with some other friends while..... my parents and I met up with friends who brought us to Great Ocean Road and 12 Apostles. It was really nice, my sis missed out A LOT. Occasional drizzle and boy was the wind high and mighty, it can blow me off balance.
Lighthouse! I think this photo is really comical. Strong winds did this to me haha. And so is this. the water was actually being blown upwards if you can see it properly. Water being blown upwards again at another corner KFC dinner.
When we went back, sis showed a very black face because we went without her.
And the very next day... we returned to see the Great Ocean Road and 12 Apostles with our rented car! The weather was very very different. Went back to Apollo Bay Seafood Cafe to eat again. -.-
Oh, and guess which special guest got to get out of the hotel room and get a breath of fresh air? My beloved baby bear! (Who's jealous now? :P)
